Big news this week… The Lakers are under investigation!

The Indiana Pacers are salty about Paul George’s departure, and believe the Lakers may have had something to do with it. Their midwestern sensibilities ruffled, Indiana demanded the league launch an investigation. We ask the big questions (starting with, “Did they do it?” moving to “Can they prove it?” and finishing with “Should tampering even matter?”). From there, it’s a breakdown of this week’s blockbuster sending Kyrie Irving to Boston. Who got what they needed from this, and how does it impact the Lakers?

Finally, with tampering in the news, we give a statue (sort of) to the guy at the center of the NBA’s last major tampering scandal… Joe Smith! Yes, the same Joe Smith who played 12 games with the Lakers in 2010-11, and averaged a robust 0.5 ppg.

Because in our world, every Laker gets a statue.
